Private Medical Insurance and Affordable Healthcare Plans from PatientChoice

Our Medical Insurance Plans

Our health insurance policies offer cost-effective alternatives to traditional private medical insurance and, unlike many traditional schemes, they are straightforward and easy to understand.

Designed to respond to the expensive aspects of healthcare that often have long waiting times in the NHS, the Essential Hospital Treatment Plan provides a budget of money to spend whenever a medical procedure or operation is needed. This money can either be used to pay for private treatment, or a generous cash benefit is paid should the treatment be carried out on the NHS.

Easy to understand private medical insurance

As well as the Essential Hospital Treatment Plan, we offer an upgrade policy called the Access Hospital Treatment Plan, which also includes out-patient cover for consultations and scans. After a £100 annual excess, policyholders can claim up to £300 per year for consultations, £700 per year for CT and MRI scans and £1,500 per year for PET scans.

PatientChoice provide medical health insurance and private healthcare plans at affordable prices. The PatientChoice website gives details of private medical insurance and private medical plans which are suitable for people of all ages.

The operations and medical procedures that we cover under both the Essential Hospital Treatment Plan and the Access Hospital Treatment Plan are divided into 9 separate bands, each with their own budget. If you choose to have treatment privately, any money left over after hospital costs have been paid, is yours to keep. However, if you choose to be treated within the NHS, you will still receive a cash benefit.

A list of all procedures covered can be viewed under the Schedule of Surgical Procedures. Members are eligible to benefit for up to a maximum of 3 procedures in each 12-month period, with a maximum lifetime benefit of £250,000.
